Terms of use

1.Acceptance of the terms

Spendlivo is provided by Spendlivo, a personal initiative of [Author's first and last name] (“we”). When you create an account, you accept these terms and the Privacy policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2.What Spendlivo is

Spendlivo is a tool for keeping track of your personal finances and for splitting shared expenses with your family, flatmates or on trips.

• It is not a bank and does not hold, transfer or process money. Payments between members are made outside the app and are only recorded in it.
• It does not give financial advice. Forecasts, statistics and suggestions are for information only.
• Balances in shared spaces are calculated from the data you enter. Their accuracy depends on the accuracy of that data.

3.Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe. We recommend keeping two-step verification turned on.
• Let us know immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use.

4.Shared spaces

• When you invite someone, they only see that space's expenses, bills and balances. Your personal finances stay private.
• Each member is responsible for the expenses and payments they record. An expense can only be edited or deleted by the person who created or paid it.
• Disagreements between members about amounts or payments are resolved between them. Spendlivo is not a party to these arrangements.
• A space can only be deleted once all debts have been settled.

5.Currencies and exchange rate

Conversions between Lek and Euro use an indicative rate based on the official rate of the Bank of Albania. Converted amounts are approximate and may differ from your bank's rate.

6.Prohibited use

You may not:

• use the service for illegal activities, fraud or money laundering;
• harass other members or send unwanted invitations;
• try to access other accounts or bypass security measures;
• copy, sell or build a competing service using Spendlivo.

7.Price and payment

Spendlivo is not for profit. The price only covers running costs (servers, emails, SMS).

• Trial month. Every new account gets 1 month free from the day of sign-up. No card is required and nothing is charged automatically.
• Notice. 7, 3 and 1 day before the trial ends we ask whether you want to subscribe.
• The subscription costs 100 Lek per month per person, the same price for students and everyone else.
• Payment is yearly only: 1,200 Lek for 12 months, counted from the day of sign-up, so including the trial month. There is no monthly payment, because card fees on such small payments would take most of the amount.
• If you don't subscribe, after the trial month your account switches to read-only mode: you can view and export your data, but not add new data. You can subscribe at any time.
• The owner of a space can also pay for the other members (1,200 Lek per year per person).
• Supporting the project is voluntary. Any amount above the subscription is a contribution, gives no extra features and is not refunded.

Nothing is charged without your clear consent. Before the end of each subscription year we notify you and ask again. If the price changes, we notify you at least 30 days in advance. Your data is not deleted if you choose not to pay.

8.Your data and ownership

The data you enter remains yours. You only give us the right to store and process it to provide the service. You can export it at any time from Profile → Export transactions.

The Spendlivo name, logo, design and code are the property of the author and are protected by law.

9.Service availability

We try to keep Spendlivo available at all times, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or technical reasons. As the project is under development, some features may change.

10.Limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from financial decisions made on the basis of the data in the app, from inaccurate data entered by users, or from disagreements between members. This does not limit your rights as a consumer under Albanian law.

11.Suspension and closing an account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms after notifying you, except in serious or urgent security cases.

After closing, personal data is deleted as described in the Privacy policy.

12.Changes to the terms

When we change the terms in a significant way, we notify you by email or in the app at least 15 days in advance. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.

13.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Disputes that are not resolved amicably are heard by the competent courts in Tirana.
